Welcome to this blog!

I am a French EVS  volunteer (European Voluntary Service) working at the Union “Public Movement Multinational Georgia” (PMMG) in Tbilisi, Georgia, Caucasus, during a year.

I thought of creating a webspace to present the initiatives of the  minority youth groups of Georgia I work with. Around 18 diasporas make up a very diverse Georgia: Greeks, Ossetians, Kurds, Armenians, Jews, Azeris… And there is so much to learn about their respective cultures.

In 2011, we hope to develop together joint strategies involving all active minority youth groups under the umbrella of the Youth Union of PMMG and thus create a synergy effect in the work that is currently conducted by each group.

So have a look at this blog, get to know those communities and find out more about Georgia’s multinational and multicultural new generation !

    Dear Meline,

with great interest I have read your article about Pontian Greeks. I am a Greek living in Prague in the Czech Republic. Last summer I went to Georgia and hoped I could find a trace of Greek culture as I knew there still were some Greeks living there. Nevertheless I did not know whom to address, where to look for them so I had no success. Today thanks to you I know that the next time I visit Tbilisi I should not miss the Union of Greek Youth.
Hope to read some news about the activities of the Union from you again.

Keep up the good work, best regards,
